A product of West Academic Publishing, AdaptiBar is an online, supplemental MBE simulator prep program. Using patented, adaptive technology, along with licensed MBE questions and diagnostic tools, AdaptiBar provids users the best possible preparation for the MBE portion of the bar exam.  

In addition to licensing actual MBE questions from the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE), AdaptiBar provides explanations for every question to help users learn how to apply the law effectively on the bar exam. AdaptiBar also offers content focused on learning the law, including flashcards and video lectures. 

The Content Attorney is part of team that oversees creating, modifying, and updating legal content in a variety of formats (read/write and audio/visual).   The goal of the AB Content Department is to ensure our content is innovative, meets the needs of users who are studying to take the bar exam, and leads the bar prep industry.  Keys to success in this position include: attention to detail, the ability to break down black letter law concepts into plain language, and superior communication skills in a team environment. 

Job Responsibilities

  1. Update, maintain, and improve questions, flashcards, and all other legal content based on user feedback, changes in the law, and expanded product offerings that required new or enhanced content.
  2. Manage error reporting and feedback systems; and
  3. Work closely with anyone who collaborates with the Content Department on a part-time basis, including people from other departments, outside contractors, and interns

Required Skills and Experience

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school required
  • Demonstrated excellence in legal writing skills
  • Advanced writing and editing skills
  • Proficiency in clear, concise (“plain language”) writing
  • Excellent understanding of basic black letter law and the ability to refine your understanding
  • Must communicate clearly and consistently with a team in virtual setting
  • Proficiency with MS Office products
  • Ongoing attention to detail with accuracy 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in timely manner
  • Time-management skills with intuitive task prioritization
