We have an immediate opening for a Sales Assistant.  The Sales Assistant role provides professional, courteous, timely, and efficient support to the West Academic Law School Account Management team and its customers.  The Sales Assistant performs a number of duties including, but not limited to, those listed below in order to support a team of eight field based Account Managers and three inside sales representatives in maximizing sales opportunities to assigned customers. This role is responsible for day-to-day administrative and technical support and will work closely with each Account Manager.

The Sales Assistant also acts as the initial point of contact for some customers and provides vacation coverage for Account Managers during longer periods of time off.  The Sales Assistant helps in planning bi-annual sales meetings including coordinating logistics.  It is expected that these duties will grow with time and experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to Account Management team.
  • Act as a support resource with NetSuite and other database and other tools.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating customer information in internal databases.
  • Coordinate the fulfillment of loose-leaf orders.
  • Assist in the process of gathering and entering nationwide law school adoption information.
  • Conducting searches in CRM system to pull information.
  • Investigate and approve requests for faculty access to West Academic platforms.
  • Provide front-line customer support for extended vacation periods.
  • Support and assist in managing copyright permissions process for law school and other higher education customers.
  • Support Account Managers, Sales Representatives, and Sales Leadership in other ways as need arises. 

Required Skills and Experience

  • HS Diploma Required.
  • 2 years administrative support or similar professional experience.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Ability to be a self-starter with a high level of motivation and attention to detail.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Efficient database management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office 365 Suite and other software applications.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across boundaries.
  • Ability to juggle and prioritize various tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in office setting. 


Desired Skills

  • AA or BS preferred.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or other CRM tool is preferred.
