West Academic is the leading provider of casebooks, study aids and other legal education materials in the US. We are a growth oriented organization, dedicated to providing our customers with the best available legal education materials.

We just recently acquired Adaptibar, an online diagnostic study tool to assist law students in preparing and passing the bar exam.  They are a team of legal, technology and education experts dedicated to helping students study smarter and pass the bar the first time.

We currently have a Marketing Coordinator opening to join the Adaptibar team in Chicago!  The role will be accountable for assisting with the creation and deployment of marketing campaigns that focus on driving sales of our Adaptibar product.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with creation and deployment of marketing campaigns
  • Review marketing copy for accuracy
  • Create product reports for marketing
  • Manage marketing files
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, with attention to detail and a focus on results
  • Plan and create initiatives to improve upon our positive, informative online presence
  • Post thoughtful content to all social media outlets, including but is not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Monitor and collect performance data from all social content to make recommendations for improvement
  • Research, write and edit marketing content to attract prospects and educate existing users. Content may include but is not limited to social media posts, blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, eblasts, and web copy
  • Research and stay up to date on the latest social media trends, law school and bar exam milestones, and ways to formulate a relevant message to our present and future users
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of webinars
  • Assist with account management/business development
  • Generate revenue with paid marketing/social media advertising campaigns
  • Prepare graphic design work using Adobe Creative Cloud to be used in marketing efforts, social media posts, e-mail blasts, and more 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Four-year college degree
  • 2-3 years in strategic marketing or similar, a plus
  • Knowledge of publishing and product development processes
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient at MS Excel
  • Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple projects at one time
